Beloved daughter Ranie (55) is just about to pop into the water for her longest Channel Crossing ever (and allegedly even tougher than the English Channel, which she has also done).
The Molokai Channel is 28 and 1/2 miles but it is in wild, open water. The waves come from, say, Japan, and they are big. By comparison, the English Channel is protected. When she did
that, for 19 hours, there were 5 foot waves.
This is worse? Oh lord. Good luck Ranie!
