Unlike virtually everyone else in the country – or so it seems – I do not have a bad back. Sadly we don’t have any universal advice about exercises to cure it either. What is an awfully good idea – if you are one of the lucky few who isn’t already crippled – is to do the damned weights all the time, including strength training for your back and, just as urgently, your front and all the rest of your core. Boring but great advice. I hate to follow it but i do. And it seems to work for me. If you’re already bunged up, be sure to ask your doc. But it makes sense, most of them will tell you, to get into strength training, if you can, and to avoid that pesky surgery. Good luck.
