MOODY BLUES

It is the season for exhilaration and, sometimes, the blues. I had a mild dose yesterday…bad sleep, touch of anxiety and, you know, massive self-loathing and despair. Thought very seriously of not rising at six to go to stinking spin class. Much better to lie in tangled sheets of anomie. Is that the word?
Instead, God bless me, I rose up and tottered off to spin class. AND HERE’S THE POINT: An hour later I had forgotten whatever-the-hell it was all about and was bouncing along, feeling pretty good. SO REMEMBER…EXERCISE ELEVATES MOOD. AND KEEPS IT THERE. SO DO IT. That’s it.
