It is such a help to have a goal in mind when you’re working out. I am a pretty good kid about this stuff…do it almost every day. But the enthusiasm with which i do it (and, I suspect, what I get out of it) is quite different when there’s a kedge afoot.
At the gym today, in spin class, hit it significantly harder. Buyt the real difference was doing weights. I don’t totally love weights but I hit it fairly hard today (upper body and gut) because of the skiing. Skiing is leg-intensive but having a decent core and upper body drives those pesky injuries away.
Oh, and it felt great. The spirit lift from doing this stuff is amazing.
And so reliable.
