I resolved this year to act my age a little… and stay off the double black diamonds here in Aspen. Great idea… lousy execution. I really meant it but my resolve disappeared the first day on skis. Lord knows why but there is an irresistible pleasure to swooping down the steeps, the deeps and the mogulled. We’ve been playing in the scary places the whole trip. Including one (mistaken) trip to the Cirque at Snowmass and then down a truly alarming run called The Wall or some such. Wild. That – and the scary plunge through the trees after – was too much. Pretty good fun though. We’re gonna grow up next year. Probably. Remember the Great Goal: BE YOUR SWEET SELF TIL AS CLOSE TO THE END AS YOU CAN MANAGE. Then, the waterfall. Chris

Chris,
I want to be like you when I grow up! Or, more precisely, I want to be like you and never really grow up (until near the end).
Here is another guy who inspires me: https://vimeo.com/80438321
His motto is “Age is a state of mind”. We are both fans of yours.
So, I guess you’re still following the philosophy, “go double black, and never look back”!
