The picture of Hilly and me (and one of my son’s many dogs) shows us at a high point of activity this vacation, on the old family place on an island on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. We are doing absolutely nothing and enjoying it quite a bit. My house here sits right on the lake. There are four huge pines growing through the 60-foot long porch and the views are to die for. My Uncle Ben built the beginnings of this house (the room behind us, actually) in 1909. Sometimes we bike and row. Sometimes we do %$#@-all, and like it quite a bit.
