Gotta get a plane to Denver later, give some talks. So up super early in Lakeville… crowd in a short (16 mile) ride. Rain just ending, sun rising in the Litchfield Hills… cows mostly still in barns but a few are coming out, having a look around. Stunningly beautiful day. Not a killer ride but peppy. And here’s a boast (to torture my young friend David BLISS with whom I am getting competitive) … my recovery rate was a modest 55 BEATS A MINUTE, DAVID! From 150 to 95. Tee-Hee. Getting ready for the ASPEN TOTAL IMMERSION WEEK (David’s doing that too) and RIDE THE ROCKIES, right afterwards. That could be a little tough this year so I am trying to get in some miles.
