I know we say it’s nonsense to diet in the books but sometimes you get desparate. I REALLY want to drop 10 pounds before the Head of the Charles, at the end of October. Harry says that’s silly but I am doing it anyway. If I can.
Mostly I mean to follow our own good advice: eat less and lay off the crap. But the super in our building – a superb guy named Michael Baglivo – mentioned the other day a diet he was having some luck with: Just fruit, vegetable and brown rice. Sounded sort of appealing. Not totally crazy, which is good, and I like the ingredients. But I am bound to get sick of them in a week or so and therefore eat less. Think I’ll give it a shot. I’ll let you know. And if anyone has a better idea, holler.
