Daughter Ranie called Sunday, to check in. Lots of questions about my travels… on and on about me, as always. Finally I ask what she’s up to. “Nothing, really. Went for a swim today. Three hours.”

“In San Francisco Bay? …what was the temperature?”

“55 degrees.”

“Eek! Anyone with you?”

“Yeah, that’s the best part. Thirty swimmers started… all friends.”

“They stay?”

“Well, not all the way. There were two left at the one hour mark… none at the two. “

My daughter is crazy. And I love and admire her very very much.
